Working mothers are healthier

That's the conclusion of a study conducted in the UK.
The investigation also revealed that housewives are women more likely to be obese.
Experts from the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of London followed 1,200 women aged 15 to 54 years.
The study found that women who had multiple roles in his life, at age 54 showed relatively good health.
On the other hand, women who had not maintained throughout his life a stable and long - term employment, were more likely to be obese at age 53.
Education
In Latin America, a similar study conducted among women aged 60 revealed that those who had lived in poor and lower income socioeconomic sectors, had poorer health.
"Both studies show that good health is closely related to education and lifestyle , " he told BBC World Dr. Cecilia Albala, a specialist in Public Health Institute of Nutrition and Food Technology of Chile, INTA.
British researchers used data from women participating in the Study of Health and Development of the National Medical Research Council in the UK.
This keeps track long - term health of British men and women born in 1946.
The health of women was analyzed at 26 and 54 years using a questionnaire.
In addition, details of your employment history, marital status and number of children were taken during each decade of his life from his 20 years.
Their height and weight at regular intervals was also measured.
Lifestyles
Analysis of the data showed that, when met 54 years, women who had been partners or wives, mothers and employed women had a health than women who had not played those three roles.
Women who had been homemakers for all or most of his life and had not had a job, were more likely to show poor health.
And after they were single mothers and childless women.
The study, published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, indicates that 38% of those who had been homemakers were obese for a long term.
While only 23% of employed mothers who had maintained a stable relationship were obese.
According to researchers, weight gain also tended to occur at a faster rate among the homemakers.
The study concludes that good health is the result not the cause- -and that a woman has played multiple roles during his lifetime.
"Research shows that women who combine employment with motherhood and a stable relationship, end up being healthier , " says study author Dr. Anne McMunn.
He adds that "the message that emerges from the research is that the long - term benefits for the health of women working outweigh the short - term stress this role."
Latin America
In Latin America, although not studied the relationship between health and social roles of women, yes we investigated the relationship of health and socioeconomic status.
However, studies show that women who work are more concerned about their health and go to more medical tests.
Dra. Cecilia Albala, INTA
"The study called KNOWS, Health, Welfare and Aging, was conducted in seven Latin American cities with women over 60 years , " he told BBC World Dr. Cecilia Albala INTA.
"In this study it was found that the poorest women with less education, less access to employment and social security, had significantly worse health than women of higher socioeconomic status , " he says.
He adds that they were also significantly more obese than women with higher socioeconomic levels.
"So far, we have not studied the relationship between health and social roles of women , " says Dr. Albala.
"However, studies show that women who work are more concerned about their health and go to more medical tests , " says the specialist.
"Good health Albala- declares Cecilia is related to lifestyle, knowledge of a more adequate food and the importance of physical activity."

Mesothelioma Cancer

A rare type of cancer is charged new victims each year. This fatal disease is contracted by workers in certain industries, such prolonged inhaling fiberglass particles also called asbestos. It is called malignant mesothelioma. Prolonged exposure to asbestos generates various diseases as some fatal lung cancer, asbestosis, bowel cancer, vocal cord, among others. But research is still in Mesothelioma, a type of cancer is difficult to diagnose.
Mesothelioma is a disease where cancer cells are hidden in certain body cavities. The pleura is the membrane lining the lungs, mediastinum, diaphragm and the inside of the rib cage. These malignant cells are found in the pleura (pleural mesothelioma) in the abdominal cavity (peritoneal mesothelioma) or in the cavity surrounding the heart (pericardial mesothelioma).
Most people who have contracted malignant mesothelioma have inhaled asbestos in their work. Asbestos fibers remain suspended in the air for a long time and are carried by the wind. They do not degrade into other compounds and remain unchanged for long periods. Although cases of people exposed in their homes are also recorded without knowing it . This cancer usually strikes men between 60 and 70 who have been exposed to asbestos between 20 to 50 years. They are diagnosed annually 10,000 to 15,000 cases worldwide and in the US alone each year 2200-3000.
Work materials containing asbestos
Most insulating materials used before the 70 contain asbestos. Many other materials currently used for the construction are also asbestos.
Some of the most common products where it is used is:
Insulation for pipes
Insulation for boilers
cements, plastics, composite construction that generate a lot of dust before being mixed with water
fire - retardant chemicals (sprays, sealants, etc.)
intumescent Bricks and Specifically used to isolate furnaces, large boilers and ships
materials for roofs, floors and ceiling tiles
textiles heat resistant, packaging, gaskets , and coatings
friction products (automobile clutch, brakes, transmission components)
Certain types of paints
Solvents in aerosol
those most exposed to asbestos are
those who installed insulation materials
who build boilers
plumbers, installers and pipe welders
who work with fire retardant sprays in steel
shipyard workers and personnel of marine
electricians and mechanics
masons, carpenters and building workers
metallurgists and refinery operators
industries in general are quite exposed. But the typical places of prolonged exposure to asbestos are shipyards, refineries, cellulose plants, smelters, power plants and construction sites .
Symptoms / DIAGNOSIS / TREATMENT
Early symptoms of mesothelioma have been detected not yet and may delay diagnosis. Sometimes they presented as viral pneumonia, chest pains, difficulty breathing, persistent cough, bronchitis, but some patients have no symptoms. An x - ray may show fluid or swelling of the lung. The right lung is affected in 60% of cases and affected both lungs in 5% of patients at diagnosis. Less common symptoms of pleural mesothelioma include fever, night sweats and weight loss. Some symptoms of peritoneal mesothelioma may be; abdominal pain or swelling due to increased fluids, nausea, weight loss, bowel obstruction, anemia or swelling of the feet.
Mesothelioma diagnosis almost always get a thorough medical evaluation, studies rays and a biopsy. A review of the patient history is made, including the history of asbestos exposure, followed by a psychological examination, rays of chest and / or abdomen and tests on lung function.
Treatments depend on the stage of cancer, age and health of the patient and the doctor is the only one who knows what kind of treatment will be most recommended for each patient. The problem is that most patients consult when their state is already well advanced.
Although until about 6 or 7 years ago it was considered incurable and deadly disease, there have been recent cases where people with exposures of 30 years to asbestos and who developed the disease and after a strict medical treatment have been cured and now lead a life full.
LEGAL
There are more than 2,000,000 websites specialized legal studies or sites that provide tips to take legal action after a diagnosis of mesothelioma.
The demands are millions and compensation are effective as long as it is easy to see the causality of this disease.

Increased life expectancy and their social impact

In developed countries, the sector will fall 15 to 44 years, while the population aged 45 to 64 and 65 and older will increase by 26% and 71%, respectively.
Christopher JL Murray of the School of Public Health at Harvard and Alan D. Lopez of the World Health Organization, are the authors of a research paper that offers a view of the health of the world 's population. The work belongs to the study entitled Global Disease Burden and his claim that the world will be older in 2020. In developed countries, the sector will fall 15 to 44 years, while the population aged 45 to 64 and 65 to older will increase by 26% and 71%, respectively. In contrast, in developing countries, the number of children and adolescents under 15 years will increase by 25%, while that of adults aged 45 to 59 years will increase by 140%. Large parts of the world especially Africa and some Asian countries are extremely young in the population structure product of high fertility and lower life expectancy. In a recent study by William Kattah, Head of Endocrinology at the Santa Fe de Bogota Foundation, he says that people with higher life expectancy are in regions with high development as North America, Europe, Oceania and parts of Asia and Russia.
Countries such as Japan, Switzerland and Sweden have the highest expectations of the world in both men and women while in Gambia and Ethiopia in Africa reported the lowest.
Life expectancy by country by 2020.
Dr. Luis Carlos Arranz Santamaría, a specialist in Geriatric Hospital of Getafe. (Madrid) states that Latin America is between the two extremes , closer and closer to the European model of growth and that in the future the aging population will tend to increase especially where more accentuated today in Europe. The villages where only people of between 80 and 105 years is already a reality in several countries of the Old Continent as Italy and Spain live. An investigation by the New England Journal of Medicine conducted on 22,000 Greeks for 4 years, states that the Mediterranean diet (vegetables, fruits, legumes, olive oil, cheese, and a glass of wine) greatly reduces the chances of cancer and diseases cardiovascular . Japan is one of the countries with the highest life expectancy. By 2002, around the Japanese archipelago, 17,934 people had met 100 years. Currently, the oldest man is, according to the Institute of gerontological studies USA (IEG), John McMorran, US, who was born on June 19, 1889 and today has 113 years old. Japanese Kamato Hongo, born in 1885, its 115 years is the oldest woman in the world.
How does this affect the environment for social set? Workers try to have a balance between work and life but not repaired in their post-work life. Today is expected to persons 65 years of developed countries live about 30 years . It is essential to think about saving, investing and planning ahead to this stage. In Latin American countries the issue of increasing age of the population, is far from being on the political agenda. The necessary building infrastructure and restructuring of public health in many countries will be vital for the high demand for services that require older people. Reforms in public health should begin as soon as possible given these forecasts. Gerontology experts say that a source of important work that will require a lot of planning by governments opens. There will be a few years an increasing demand for skilled staff in social care for the elderly, nurses, social workers, gerontologists physicians, clinicians, orthopedic surgeons and caregivers, among others. Dr. René Knopoff, director of specialization in geriatrics career Maimonides Medical University of Buenos Aires, says that this is a highly promising sector in the coming times. Moreover in Europe they have clear policies regarding the forecast increasing age of the population. The Madrid City Council made a couple of years ago a contest called "architectural solutions for an aging society". Organizers estimate that 2050 will, for the first time, more people over 60 than under 15 worldwide. An exhibition in Madrid with the winning works of 28 architecture students from 10 different countries related to longevity was performed. The jury was composed of architects and gerontologists. Social Security The problem of the future of Social Security worries in Europe for some time. The system is not ready to support new retirees live longer and have contributed a calculated life expectancy 30 years. Why governments have already installed on their agendas to carry out a thorough reform in Social Security. In Spain, when companies or state agencies must cut staff, they offer early retirement plans or early retirement for over 50 years. The government of Jose Luis Zapatero, sent in late 2005, a proposal to unions and employers, which aims, among other things, that one of every two workers prolong their working life to 65 years. As indicated by the Secretary of State for Social Security, Octavio Granado, two out of three workers in the general scheme retire before that age and the Executive arises "reverse the trend", which will require eliminating some "perverse returns" that have caused a high number of early retirements. According told El Mundo Secretary of State for Social Security, Octavio Granado, two out of three workers in the general scheme retire before that age and the Executive arises "reverse the trend", which will require eliminating some "perverse returns "which have caused a high number of early retirements. Also, taking advantage of the immigration debate the governments of France, Spain Germany and Italy, have been firm to detect and empadronarlos immigrant workers in order that their employers to make pension contributions corresponding. Discourage early retirements and establish a widow's pension for unmarried couples are the main measures proposed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to reform Social Security. Some opponents of the proposal say it is not the same who retire at age 65 and started to work the 30 who started working at 14. The Zapatero government raises increasingly bet and says they could increase in the future the minimum retirement age if current attempts to curb early retirement not bear fruit. While the Social Security system at least in Spain now has a "historic surplus" the government tries to plan long - term future, thanks to technological advances, glimpses of great longevity for many Spanish citizens.

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success

You are what is the deep desire that drives you.
As is your desire is your will.
As is your will are your acts.
As are your acts is your destiny
Success in life it could be defined as the continued growth of happiness and the progressive realization of a worthy goals. Success is the ability to make wishes come true easily.
We create from our minds and our potential is unlimited to create our own dreams. Through knowledge of the laws used in creating the universe, we can come into harmony to be close to the abundance of all good things for us.
The spiritual laws of success are the same that uses the universe to create a cell, a forest or a galaxy. Thought has a transforming power because we live in an intelligent universe that creates and gives life. Our true nature is prosperity and abundance, is our natural state.
True wealth consciousness is the ability to have everything we want, whenever we want, and with minimal effort.
The law of pure potentiality
Consciousness has to do with the potentiality, pure knowledge, perfect balance, simplicity and joy which are characteristics of our essential nature. The more we develop our own nature, the closer we toods to realize our dreams.
Our benchmark is our inner self and not the elements around us. When we live in reference to external objects we live in fear, instead of living in self -reference , it is not necessary to live in the struggle for the approval of others.
In the self - reference experience our true self, has nothing to do with the ego or the urgent need to control.
To stay in touch daily with nustro is necessary to practice inner silence several minutes per day. this is a way to experience the law of pure potentiality. The field of pure potentiality can organize a series of infinite details for us. Another way is the practice of not judging others.

The Law of Giving

The universe operates through dynamic change that is giving and receiving. We give and receive in order to maintain the flow of interaction between elements. If we are not stopping the energy flow towards us. Like a river, the energy of giving should be active otherwise begins to stagnate his own life force.
All you have value in life is multiplied when dado.La remuneration is directly proportional to what is given, when the act is unconditional and from the heart.
In fact, the easiest way to get what we want is to help others get what they want. It is put into circulation, quietly and selflessly, happiness, wealth and prosperity in my life and that of others.

The Law of Karma or Cause and Effect

It has to do with the popular phrase, we reap what we sow. Being aware of the decisions we make at all times know that these affect our lives. When ask if we act d Euna way or another, we must choose the one that makes us feel a sense of pleasure in the heart.
Becoming aware of the choices we make, we begin to generate actions that enclose a process of evolution for us and for all those around us.
And that's all we need to do.

The Law of Least Effort

Nature uses minimal effort to operate. It is human nature to make dreams become reality, easily and effortlessly.
When our internal reference point is the ego, when you seek power and control over others, or approval of the rest of the world, we waste our energy.
This Act to be fulfilled must respect three components:
1) Acceptance: accepting people, the facts as they arise. 2) Responsibility. Do not blame anything or anyone (even ourselves) for our luck. 3) Take a non - defensiveness. Try to be flexible as a reed that bends in the storm but does not break. We must fully live the present ceasing to fight to defend our point of view and waste energy that can help us to create.
When you have that delicious combination of acep¬tación, responsibility and helplessness, feel the ease with which life flows.

The Law of Intention and Desire

This law is based on the fact that energy and information exist everywhere in nature.
The conscious change is achieved through the two qualities inherent in consciousness: attention and intention.
Attention energizes, and intention transforms. Anything to which we pay attention, grow stronger in our life.
Anything that we stop paying attention, wither, disintegrate and disappear
Intention is the real power behind desire. The sole intention is very powerful, because it is desire without attachment to the outcome.
The Law of Detachment
This law says that to acquire anything in the physical universe, we must give up our attachment to it.
We do not give up the intention nor the desire; We waive the interest in the outcome. To strengthen our position in this experience is necessary to strengthen our position in the wisdom of uncertainty. In the uncertainty we will find the freedom to create anything you want.
Uncertainty, on the other hand, is the fertile ground of pure creativity and freedom.
When we force solutions, only we create new problems. One hopes that solutions emerge and be aware of the opportunity.

Law of Dharma or purpose in life

This law says that we have manifested in physical form to fulfill a purpose.
According to this law, each of us has a unique talent and a unique way of expressing it . There is one thing that each individual can do better than anyone else worldwide. When these needs are joined with the creative expression of our talent, the spark that creates abundance occurs.
The law of dharma has three components. The first says that each of us is here to discover his true self. The second component of the law of dharma is the expression of our unique talent
Todps have a talent único.El third component of the Law of Dharma is service to humanity - to serve other human beings and ask, "How can I help ?. How I can help all people with whom we have contact?
When our creative expressions match the needs of others, wealth will spontaneously from the unmanifest to the manifest, the realm of the spirit to the world of form.

Better attitude = better jobs

The job search process is definitely one of the facets that are more debilitating for people. The answer is simple: a good attitude to the knowledge and development potential of each person. The way to achieve it is not easy, much less during the job search process can be so frustrating.
First of all, it should be understood that improving the attitude is the culmination of a series of activities that must begin with the recognition of oneself. Make a personal objective analysis, you can even ask help from co-workers or school, family and friends to highlight competences and areas of opportunity with which they have and to design an action plan where they can potentiate the skills and where road have to take advantage of the opportunity areas and turn them into a plus. Naturally this takes several months lead to a satisfactory conclusion, however, with the simple fact of having the first analysis of our person, it shows us a way forward to better sell the skills you have, write a better CV and harness much better job interviews.
Determining actions with limited time and comply in full is essential; for example, if within the personal analysis was detected the opportunity to learn a language, within the action plan should consider the budget, where would be considered and the time it takes complete this activity. For companies, seeing that a candidate is concerned about improving their skills and is making extra efforts to improve their career opportunities speak of ambition in the person, projection greater challenges and in this highly competitive world, these are the people needed to achieve the objectives of any organization, these are ideal candidates for any company.
It may sound somewhat redundant the third step to improve the attitude, but it is important to carry out and finish with the best success possible action plan was designed, to realize what was written on paper, improve our ability to project a greater ambition, this helps the candidate to increase their skills and confidence you have towards him. With greater knowledge and greater achievements, greater self - esteem, with this positive attitude and ambition is present quickly and the chances of finding a better job undoubtedly improve.
According to the latest survey Workmonitor by Randstad, the desire to grow professionally is present in 83% of Mexicans, but it is important that this desire is transformed into forceful and precise actions to increase personal and professional competitiveness by improving the attitude and opening new opportunities for development.

Importance of resilience in the workplace

There are facts, moments, situations in life or at work traumatically affecting people, affecting decisions and create stress. Each individual reacts differently against adversity: some take positive attitudes, overcome obstacles with courage and take advantage of them, while others get stuck, mired in negative memories for a long time. Those who manage to easily recover, learning problems and maintain a spirit of hope against adversity is the considered resilient .
The definition according to E. Chavez and E. Yturralde says Resilience is the ability possessed by an individual against adversity, to keep on fighting, with doses of perseverance, tenacity, positive attitude and actions that advance against current and overcome. Another traditional concept of resilience comes from physics, when some metals, after being deformed by heat, can regain its original shape in a short time.
But what other features have resilient, in which environments are developed further and what are the chances of becoming one of these people? Early research on resilience in the 70s, studied children in Romanian orphanages and destitute children of Bolivia, despite having had a difficult childhood, full of deficiencies and deprivation could be formed as healthy, vibrant and full adults projects. Resilient concluded that differential attitudes have a strong faith, positivity, self-esteem, hope and flexibility to change. At some point in their lives, they valued meet people accessible, which made them feel supported and content.
To enhance the resilience necessary to work on three pillars: 1) have the ability to play, not internalizing problems obsessively, be positive and creative to cope with different situations. The idea is not to generate dramatic change and demonstrate a willingness to get on with life naturally. 2) have hope and know for support or support friends, family and guides. Feeling supported, the individual has suitability to share their problems and make them more bearable and 3) the most important pillar, have confidence in yourself constantly, no matter the adversities that arise.
Loading energies resilient, have great own expectations, goals and projects that generate various possibilities to develop autonomously.

The work environment and resilience

Since the 2002 crisis in Argentina, more and more resilient companies that train their employees in improving resilience, as inevitably benefits the company that every day are exceeded by day not only technical skills but what emotional to improve the working environment and face any socio-economic crisis or major change that may arise.
The workplace can be a stressful place for some conditions that require some kind of special adaptability. Poor lighting, work items, convenience to perform the tasks, changes of days and times or places of work, conflicting interpersonal relationships, constant travel, overlapping roles, delivery very demanding work, they generate high levels of negativity and frustration.
The challenges proposed workplaces, today, a heavy burden of stress for most people.
Build capacity to be resilient means through the challenges as naturally as possible, maintain the good level of interpersonal relationships, quality of life at work, performance, productivity, despite the difficulties, are key skills that many organizations have proposed further among his people in the new millennium.
Companies that are in resilience, activate six key points in labor relations. 1) seek to promote contacts between employees face to face non - confrontational manner, 2) apply clear policies agreed upon by all, 3) to encourage cooperation and conviviality. 4) mutual learning to give and receive support and affection is encouraged and 5) realistic goals are set to develop self - esteem of employees and 6) promote the participation of all in decision-making. If the above add the practice of encouraging teams to lead a healthy lifestyle through healthy eating, exercise and allowing moments of relaxation during working hours, resilience will be enhanced and improved relationships and ability to overcome stressful situations.
Resilience is not just a concept more in labor psychology but is a great tool that provides a competitive advantage to the working group, to get through situations that cause frustration and resistance, positively, making every difficult moment into an opportunity growth.

Eliminating barriers to creativity

You can never express yourself creatively by talking or thinking about how lousy you to create.
If you say, "I have no creativity , " this is a statement that will be true while holding follow. There is an innate creativity flowing in all if we let eachother and leave us surprise and delight.
We live in the creative power of the universe. Some express ourselves creatively than others but we can all create our lives every day. We all have different skills and abilities.
Unfortunately , many hurt us the way to creativity when we were children. I had a teacher who told me, I could not dance because it was too high. A friend told he could not draw because he had drawn the wrong tree. We were obedient children and we heed the message. But now adults we can go further.
Another false premise is that we must be artists to be creative. This is a way to express creativity but there are many more.
We are creative in every minute of our lives since the creation of new cells in our body. By choosing the emotional responses we make in our current work, in relationships with friends and the relationship with ourselves. It 's all creativity. You can be very good cook or be creative with garden plants, or ways of being friendly with others, there are millions of ways to express yourself creatively. No matter how you choose to express yourself creatively, you want to be satisfied with everything you do. When there is a strong internal decision to express or create something, there is no chance of making mistakes.
If we are guided by our creation, perfection trust that exists within us, this is the key to avoid being paralyzed by a new opportunity to express yourself creatively. I know it can be scary. But we can do it anyway. The universe loves you and wants you to succeed in everything you do.
You are creative in every moment of the day. In fact express yourself creatively is everything you do on the day. You, in your unique way, all the time. Knowing this you can release all mental beliefs that tell you you're not creative. And face all the projects you want.
The only barriers to creativity are those imposed by ourselves. It is therefore necessary to change our negative thoughts with positive thoughts to flow into our reality, our innate creative resources.

Positive thoughts to express my creativity

Libero all resistance to expressing my creativity fully
Whenever I am in touch with my own creative resources
I feel good to express myself in every possible creative ways
I am a clear thinker, and I express ideas
learn to be creative every day
My creative potential is unlimited
I discovered talent in me I did not know
my inner creativity and soprende I enjoy
My talents are demanded
enjoy creative expression of life.
Ideas come to me easily and quickly

Predictors of resilience in young people

Resilience is the ability to adapt to threatening circumstances and emerge stronger from adversities. Together with specialists from Brazil and Mexico, a team of researchers from the National University of Rosario (UNR) analyzed the psychosocial variables that predict resilience among youth and adolescents. The idea that the observed links between well - being and resilience would indicate on the study emotional support within the home and positive social exchanges influence significantly on the ability to cope with adverse situations . The work also showed that both the well - being, emotional intelligence and optimism, are factors favoring resilience.
The study, led by psychologist and researcher at the CONICET, Alicia Omar , rescues the term "resilience" of physics. Under this theory it is studied the ability of some bodies back into shape after pressure . Social and management sciences appropriated this term and apply it to this look at the ability of individuals to emerge stronger from adversities.
Alicia Omar explained very clearly the meaning of resilience: "It 's a little saying grandmothers 'what does not kill you makes you stronger' , " and is just that, overcoming the bad times and not only not to fall but leave rearmed ".

The investigation

It was held in conjunction with specialists from Brazil and Mexico and had two approaches: emic, focused on the meaning that granted teenagers to certain situations where the variability within each cultural group was analyzed, and other ethical, which was held A comparison of the results between national groups. The predictors are variables that predict or explain a phenomenon, so called predictors of resilience, because they are the variables that best predict the occurrence in children.
To conduct the research, the team started with two basic assumptions: certain psychosocial variables such as subjective well - being, active strategies of coping stress, optimism, sense of humor and emotional intelligence, as predictors of resilience; and country -specific which modulate the relationship between psychosocial variables and the resilient behavior of young cultural values.
An intentional, anonymous and voluntary exhibition comprising 461 students, with an average age of 20 years and attending public and private schools of their respective countries analyzed. The sample selection was conducted by the teachers themselves, with whom briefings to unify criteria on resilience, instructing them to identify students at risk who exhibit resilient behavior at the time of study and apply them to the scale of resilience remained .
After linking resilience with each variable, the researchers came to some results: the best predictors are subjective well - being, optimism and emotional intelligence; resilient individuals deal with stress by direct action strategies (face the problems and try to solve them ); collectivism orientation and attenuates the relationship between resilience and predictor variables.
The purpose of the research is to contribute to the implementation of programs to increase the resilience of youth and adolescents at risk and increase their knowledge. Also, the assessment of the strengths and human virtues. "Emotional support within the home and positive social exchanges within significantly influence school for teens face threatening situations and to overcome them, " said the researcher.
Alicia Omar considered how to apply in practice the results of research: "In our country we have marginalized groups, drug addicts and extreme poverty and a form of intervention would build resilience in these young people, showing them that they can rearm and learn adversity and emerge stronger. To implement programs in schools, in social security and municipalities should be developed. It could also work on the development of resilience because it is a human strength that we all have and can develop ".

How to be a positive person?

I would like you to say this phrase every friend to ask how you are doing in life? It can be positive all the time? What's the trick? Is it perhaps ignore the problems? Is life always walk perhaps with a smile?, Is perhaps let things happen?

Life in Pink

You can not be a positive person all the time, it is surely the thought that has at this time. However there is a way.
Pepe is a restaurant manager, has had several waiters who follow him from many years ago from restaurant to restaurant. The reason the waiters followed Jerry was because of his attitude.
Pepe is a natural motivator: if an employee was having a bad day. Pepe was there telling the employee how to look on the bright side of the situation.

The secret

What was his secret? Pepe was this:
"Every morning I wake up and say to myself: Pepe, you have two choices today .You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to sulk. I choose to be in a good mood. "
"Every time something bad happens, I can choose between being a victim or learn from it. I choose to learn from it. "
" Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can accept your complaint or you can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life. "

But it is not so easy.

Yes it is. Everything in life is about choices. When you cut away all the junk , every situation is a choice.
"You choose how to react to each situation, you choose how people will affect your mood, you choose to be in a good mood or a bad mood.

Me against the world

If you go through life always angry with eternal concerns, feeling that the arms and legs tied in the bottom of a well, a prisoner of situations; that always happen "bad" things only to you; That people are bad, so care must be taken; That seems to have been bewitched, then everything goes wrong.
In your work, your boss is a despot and has to cope, but do not eat it: in the company where the word "operator" works written in the gateway; That the company does not have partners, but enemies; That every Monday when you restart a week of work, will not encourage their work and safety will be another week "of the same".
Well, you already made your choice. He has chosen to play the role of perpetual victim and this will affect your mood.

we do not win

In my country, Peru and how it can happen elsewhere, many people have had to "invent a job to survive." That's bad? . No, perhaps politically (these people do not pay taxes to the state), but personally, no.
It 's nice to see as mothers abandoned their business serving food in step with the "courage" and "love their children" I can not tell in this line. With the assurance that only one process is more in life. Tomorrow is another day ... better.
It 's nice to see older people continue to work. Because they do not believe, as has been shown: "That retirement is a prize and that the person should stop labor". In my country a retiree can receive their pension and continue working in a company, if desired. Something that was not possible, by the law of the time, 10 years ago.

You'll fall but you will rise

But again the answer is not easy? . No ... not easy, it never was and never will be.
The problem is that human beings are "creatures of habit". And breaking one of them takes time.
However, there is always a How. Practice for three months continuously election process that develops Pepe rises every time.
That will allow you to form a "new habit". And this would replace the way of life that has been carried to date. You will have its downfalls, yes. But it should rise.
Keep a paper negative thoughts you have on the day and before bedtime, read it and proceed to burn those notes .Watch carefully as it burns. Then go to sleep peacefully, because their problems will be solved gradually.
In short: You choose how to live life.
... The attitude, in the end, is everything.

How to boost the morale of your employees after a death

From time to all Directors and HR Managers have to deal with the death of a worker who was part of the template. Losing a partner in any way is difficult, but it is more emotionally painful if the individual died violently.
As a leader you can help to develop gradually this loss and come back and have a positive view showing joy.
The pain of people for the loss of a colleague even though they have not known too, takes time and speed up or try to minimize your feelings will not help anything. If someone was close to the worker and if you feel paralyzed by the news indeed, it is convenient that you can take a day or two of rest. The key here is time, and after a reasonable time can engage in an activity of integration which can generate strengthen ties between all.
1. Let people take their time to be shocked or discuss it with others. Some partners want to leave behind the issue, but others will need some time to feel elaboration of mourning and grief. Press to accept death before they are ready all you will do is extend the grieving process.
2. Accepts a temporary drop in productivity . While employees struggle with the emotions that accompany death, they can not perform in the same way as before. Be sympathetic / ay located, telling the others to share their feelings for such a tragic loss.
3. Listen to your employees. While struggling to understand what has happened, they need a shoulder support. Make yourself available to them. After talking to a confidant they will feel relieved the chest and can cope better with the loss
4. Establish a memorial. While you are eager to leave behind the issue of the employee's death, set a reminder could be a practical help to those who need to make a seal. Plant a tree or create a plaque in memory of the deceased partner . After this small gesture of respect, many will be willing to let the death of this person back and start to heal.
5. Commits members of the organization in activities that promote a sense of community and belonging . Death sometimes leads to feelings of insecurity and uncertainty. No ates these contests directly to the worker's death and your teammates do not need to remind them again this fact will reduce the effectiveness of the event and opening a wound that was closing.
6. Plan meetings outside working hours . We provide yourself a distraction to those who may not have strong support in the house. What is assertiveness?

The assertiveness is a way to treat others in the midst between aggressive treatment and end treatment without character. The Assertiveness has to do with how we recognize the rights of both parties involved in a case. Think before speaking in our dealings with others and evaluate own rights and other alike.
Types of profiles:
Aggressive. Exercise your right to have ideas and opinions at the expense of the rights of another person. In fact you behave as if the rights of the other person did not exist.
Assertive. You exercise your rights and clearly but at the same time recognize the rights of another person to be heard, to feel proud of what they do, etc.
Unassertive. You have too much into account the rights of others to the point of repressing your own right to express ideas or influence events.
To ilustar the 3 types of behavior Ken and Kate were exemplified Back 3 phrases said a manager to an employee. The manager is directed to the employee and says
Agresivo. " I do not understand how you had to give me face this kind of paper to sign. It is full of "errors
Assertive: " Juana, I would like to re make this document as it contains several errors "
No Assertive: " I know that, perhaps, is likely to blame ami, pro not write clearly, but there would be some possibility that you can change one or two things in this letter for me? (Or the manager finds an excuse not ask for this)
Of course, the desired behavior is to be assertive behavior. The authors say the best way to achieve assertiveness is dialoguing with yourself before interacting with another. Sometimes these internal dialogues are unconscious, but if you detect you may be able to handle and become assertive in your dealings with others.
Returning to the example above internal dialogues are:
Aggressive. "If people produce waste, I have every right to tell them "
"She sure does not care. It is typical of young people today "
Assertive: " This may be uncomfortable for both of us , but we can handle it, "
" You have the right to make mistakes, but be responsible for correct "
" I want you to know the effect his errors have on others "
No Assertive: " I do not want to make a scene or damage our working relationship "
" I'm sure are mistakes unintentionally, I'll let it go this time "
" I know you've estaod busy, I hope that's the cause of these errors "
having your internal dialogue before dealing with another person, serves to adjust your behavior to be assertive.
This is achieved by converting your Dialogo Interior Failed (not aggressive or assertive) in an Internal Positive Dialogue (assertive). Assertive behavior is important because it is a brick to build an organizational culture oriented empowerment, involvement and learning. Before making cultural change is good conduct training in assertiveness.

Manage emotions in times of crisis

We are all afraid. Uncertainty and fear we generate change. Unfortunately express these emotions in the professional field is still considered a taboo.
In our typical "public discussion" of the professional environment, the language we use is apparently objective and rational. And right now, 2 words embrace this premise of reasoning: Crisis + finance. In fact, "finance" do not explain everything, therefore, experts have found a euphemism that softens the sense of vertigo that we all feel when we are afraid of losing everything we have achieved, "crisis of confidence".
In theory, the / the HR professionals are the experts in emotional intelligence, social responsibility and management values. 'Do not we can afford to fall into the trap !!! We now have the opportunity to apply ourselves theory and transfer it to the organization.
Remember how the defense mechanism of autofavoritismo , explains why in times of growth, our organizational inefficiencies, errors, lost productivity, ... remain covert. We overvalue our own value and contribution to the results, regardless of the environment helps us. At the same time, we underestimate the importance of our mistakes, attributing bad luck. That is why, when the famous financial crisis appears, we realize that there were already many critical points within the organization and its effect has been compounded exponentially.
Depending on what we have sown in the past, our organization only think of "the / the Human Resources" to ask "How many € payroll can save?"
The / the HR professionals have to take responsibility for positively redirect defense mechanisms are activated in order to support this situation. That is, people tend to underestimate their relationship with the problem and absolutely attributed to external causes. And also, we have to counteract the effect prophecy. That is, they appear a lot of prophets within the organization that will explain to his colleagues that "they already warned at the time, but no one paid attention." All this entails a stance of victimhood, passivity and reactivity.
The downsizing is one of the alternatives that we will have to consider.
But from Human Resources we should value much more complex and proactive options:
> € How many talent we miss? How can we face these changes with maximum social responsibility? What selection criteria can be applied reduction? How do we manage the despair and fear of those who remain? Is it essential to reduce training plans? Is it necessary to reject projects teamwork? It IS ONLY is possible to reduce wage costs rescinding contracts? Is it necessary to do without the internal communication, ...?
Reap what we have sown in Human Resources +:
If we have sown Resources and we have focused on the "TO DO": payroll, contracts, courses, selections, questionnaires, conventions, ... will turn to us to reduce staff.
If we have sown Human and we have focused on the "HOW WE DO", promoting the values (transparency, ethics, honesty, solidarity, personal and professional development, commitment, communication, ...), they will turn to us to manage talent.
Let us focus on our circle of influence. We do not fall into the trap of justifying our lack of creativity and adaptation to change, using as an excuse the crisis and uncertainty about the future. Indeed, we can not act on macro- and economic factors. But we can put all our efforts on internal factors of the company, to seek and give favorable responses to this very unfavorable environment.
