The weather in China

China has a great climatic variation depending on the area in which we are; and the obvious is the obvious, China is very large, in addition to having quite different regions topographically speaking.
With a certain monsoon component, rainfall is more common and abundant in the southeast part of the country. We can even find areas with really extreme weather, in which summer, or at least pleasant temperatures, are rarely seen.
- The weather in northern China
Winter in the northern part of China has quite hard winters. Thus, from December to March it may not be a good date to travel to places like Beijing , where temperatures of -20ºC have been recorded at night.
Further north of this city, we can find areas where winter can reach -40ºC. Without a doubt a temperature that few could bear.
Likewise, summers in this area of China can also be extreme, with temperatures up to 38 ° C in Beijing and which also coincide with the rainiest season.
Spring and autumn are really nice; and it is that we find temperatures in the area that will go from 20ºC to 30ºC. Without a doubt, much more recommended temperatures to visit the cities of this part of China.
- The weather in central China
The heart of China is dominated by the Yangtze River valley. The temperature in winter is quite similar to what we can find in the northern areas of the country. Thus, the winter months are going to be well covered. Also, between April and October we found a long hot summer. Thus, cities like Wuhan, Chongqing or Nanjuing are famous for being the three warmest cities in the whole country, calling themselves the “3 ovens”.
The biggest difference with the north, is that in the center of China we must also have a strong humidity that will accompany us throughout the year, from January to December.
- The weather in southern China
In southern China, winter is quite short. We find temperatures much higher than in the north or center and will last from January to March. Even so, we shouldn't forget about warm clothes; and it is that although the thermometers rarely go below 20ºC, sometimes if cold waves are experienced that are aggravated by humidity and constant rains.
We find typhoons in this area more than in another, so it is interesting to make sure the weather predictions on our trip, although normally from July to September it is when we are more likely to meet them.
