Information to travel to China

The exoticism and the stunning beauty of China dazzle any tourist worth its salt. However, it was not until 1980 when its borders were opened precisely to tourism. Since then it is one of those destinations that keeps a subtle amalgam of art, culture, nature and history impossible to describe in just a few words.
Huge monuments such as the Forbidden City or the endless Great Wall of China, enjoy traveling part of the Silk Road or marvel at the foot of the Lhotse or Tibet. There is nothing more pleasant for the lover of art or nature than to indulge in a getaway to China.
TOURISTIC DESTINATIONS
Logically, Beijing is one of the main tourist destinations in China . There are essential visits to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace or the historic district of Nanchizi, with its alleys and traditional houses. But China is much more than Beijing. Near the capital is Shenyang and the imposing Xian , capital of China for twelve centuries, and which highlights its famous army of six thousand terracotta soldiers.
The Great Wall of China is one of the most impressive monuments in the world. With its six thousand kilometers in length, it starts in the Gulf of Bohai and reaches almost to the Gobi Desert. In Leshan you must visit the impressive statue of Buddha sculpted in the red earth, more than 71 meters high, and in Suzhou its beautiful canals, for which it has been known as the Chinese Venice.
Shanghai is the other great metropolis of the country. Its huge skyscrapers and museums are priceless jewels. Of great value is also the city of Lhasa, known as the land of the gods, with its palaces and monasteries, as well as Tibet, a place dreamed by the most adventurous and exotic, with its lakes and mountains.
WEATHER

To the east of the country we find a monsoon climate, to the northwest the dry climate predominates and in the area of Tibet the cold is intense, with places where there is no summer. Rains are more common in the southeast of the country. The best time to travel to China will depend on where we want to go.

The official language is Mandarin Chinese. Even so, in most large cities you will have no problem understanding each other in English, especially in restaurants, hotels and others.
PURCHASES
China is a paradise for electronics lovers, since you can get devices much cheaper than in Spain or in other countries. You can also buy a lot of high quality imitation brand clothing, and other imitation products. There is no lack of typical crafts (if you are in Shabgai and you go to his market that is a paradise) and pottery. The art of bargaining is something that takes a lot in China.

In China there are a total of 128 airports, although the most important are those of Beijing, located 25 kilometers northeast of the city; that of Hong Kong, 34 kilometers from the center of the island; Shanghai Hong Qiao Airport, 13 kilometers away: Pudong Airport, which is also in Shanghai; and Macao Airport, located just 3 kilometers from the center of Macao.
